The Concept:
To introduce the seasonal Qi Xi gifting box, Afiq conceptualised a dynamic visual narrative featuring two magpies — a symbolic nod to the festival’s romantic folklore.
The Challenge:
To spotlight the Facial Treatment Essence meaningfully — all within a tight timeframe.
Working on this Qi Xi gifting promotional film gave Afiq the opportunity to take creative ownership from start to finish. From storyboarding to post-production, he led the process under the mentorship of his Senior Art Director. The film was created for SK-II’s young adult audience in China and distributed on Weibo as part of the brand’s seasonal campaign.
Out of all the SK-II projects Afiq has worked on, this one stood out. It pushed him to grow, refine his direction skills, and raised the bar for what he aims to achieve creatively.
What’s next? He’s just getting started.
